The biggest waste in manufacturing today is not on the shop floor. It's in the meetings, emails, and data transfer that overwhelm knowledge processes (eg quality assurance, vendor management, engineering, R&D, and sales). That's because traditional enterprise tools split collaboration and processes into disparate systems, resulting in up to 85% of time and effort being wasted. Unifize solves this problem by bringing collaboration and process into one place. By creating a conversation for every process record, Unifize measurably reduces waste in knowledge processes by up to 95%.

RDI is an overnight success — years in the making. We’re scaling fast (grew 4× last year), fueled by enterprise engagements with the top IVD manufacturers in the world. For a small team, we punch way above our weight. RDI has become the go-to CRO for large public diagnostics companies who rely on our creativity, tech-forward systems, and zero-excuses accountability to get trials done quickly and done right. We’re a fully integrated IVD CRO — a high-complexity CLIA lab, a technology-enabled CRO, and a national physician + lab network under one roof. This lets us run clinical trials with a level of speed and operational precision the industry isn’t used to. RDI was founded in 2008 and professionalized in 2017 through a search fund acquisition (not venture hype). We’re backed by long-term operators and growth investors — not dependent on VC burn or fundraising cycles. From 2022–2024, we expanded aggressively by doing the hard things right: building real infrastructure, earning trust from enterprise customers, and executing consistently. Our physician network was sourced from real insurance claims data and strengthened by CAP accreditation. No one has successfully started and scaled a modern CRO focused on diagnostics and medical devices in over 15 years. The industry is dominated by large, slow incumbents optimized for pharma — not speed, accountability, or precision. We’re the underdog — and we’re winning. Our goal is simple: prove our customers right, and prove the industry wrong. Get a feel for how we work: youtube.com/watch?v=3tccEbsWIl8

We built a pacemaker-like system that allows tinnitus and stroke patients to receive a novel therapy. The implanted device is connected to the vagus nerve in the neck and sends tiny pulses of electricity, which cause the brain to release chemicals called neurostransmitters. When these tiny pulses are paired with external stimulus such as tones or motor movements, specific regions of the brain are able to be rapidly rewired. Research was published in Nature and New England Journal of Medicine.

NERv is developing biosensors that are embedded in wound drains and catheters to identify anastomotic leaks once they develop. The first device is an in-line device that augments existing wound drains to analyze peritoneal (abdominal) cavity fluid as it is extracted from inside the body. The second device is a "smart catheter" with the sensors embedded at the tip of the catheter and is placed within the abdominal cavity to monitor the patient continuously. The second system has been developed for surgeons who prefer to not use wound drains. Both however utilize the same sensing technology. Both systems can predict and notify the healthcare provider if early signs of a surgical leakage are detected by the sensors. NERv’s platform allows surgeons to detect leakages early, take the appropriate clinical response to help patients recover while avoiding the cascade of complications that arise from the late detection of the complication.
