Top Tech Startups to Work For in 2027

Zocdoc is the tech company at the beginning of a better healthcare experience. Each month, millions of patients use Zocdoc to find in-network neighborhood doctors, instantly book appointments online, see what other real patients have to say, get reminders for upcoming appointments and preventive check-ups, fill out their paperwork online, and more. With a mission to give power to the patient, Zocdoc’s online marketplace delivers the accessible, seamless, and simple experience patients expect and deserve.

Trunk is an a16z backed startup founded by a team of senior and staff engineers from Uber and Google. From first-hand experience, we knew that top tech companies rightly treated developer experience as a mission-critical competitive investment. But hiring full-time developer tools and developer experience teams, as the biggest companies do, isn’t a scalable solution. From one-person hobby projects to 800-person engineering juggernauts, we’re building the rock-solid tooling solution every team needs. Maintaining development velocity is impossible when you’re constantly babysitting pull requests. Putting your product roadmap on hold to triage a sick repo shouldn’t be a regular occurrence. Because the treatment for death by a thousand paper cuts isn’t a thousand band-aids. Enter Trunk. No, we didn’t invent trunk-based development—but we’re here to accelerate it.
