Top Tech Startups in Edinburgh, United Kingdom in 2027

Learning for software developers is broken. Available options are boring, time-consuming, not relevant to everyone, or require the company to take a big productivity hit. We've designed a fast, effective training solution for tech teams that avoids those pitfalls. Targeted Capability Training is: - Core to how an engineering team operates, not a fringe add-on or an after-thought. - Learning that aligns with business priorities and changes what the team is capable of. And we’re called Skiller Whale because … well, our love of puns knows no bounds. Our mission is to change what tech teams are capable of. We’ve found the most effective way to accomplish this is through challenging, realistic exercises that can be explored and tackled in our interactive teaching model. We strive to be intelligent, playful learners, like our Orca, Ada (yes, we love a Lovelace reference). These principles define who we are, not only as a company providing a product, but also as a group of people working together. We believe that diversity makes us stronger and are dedicated to building a company that represents society as a whole. We value marginalised people’s safety over privileged people’s comfort. We value honest and open communication, and we believe that in order to foster an environment that enables this, it’s important that our team feel included, recognised and like they can bring their full selves to work.

We're solving the wrong problem. Everyone's trying to teach small business owners to be better marketers. Better social media strategies. Better content calendars. Better posting schedules. But here's the thing: A therapist shouldn't have to be a social media expert. A wedding planner shouldn't spend 6 hours a week posting content. A wellness coach shouldn't hate their own marketing. The problem isn't that they're bad at marketing. The problem is that they're doing marketing at all. At Omada, we believe the best marketing is invisible marketing. Omada means "team" in Greek. Not a tool. Not a list. A team. We've built the first AI marketing team specifically for service businesses - a "do it for me" team that creates, executes, optimizes, and supports while you focus on what you do best: serving clients. For small business owners, it means you're never alone. While you build your business, your AI marketing team is already at work. Thousands of companies are already waiting for this future. Technology should do what technology does best, so humans can focus on what humans do best. That's not optimization. That's revolution. Omada. Your team, in motion.
