About the job
About Ennote
Ennote Security is the identity-driven secret manager unifying human collaboration and machine automation. Our platform centralizes governance for passwords, environment variables, API keys, and infrastructure certificates, replacing scattered .env files and legacy vaults with a single, hardware-backed source of truth.
Ennote is live in production and used by engineering teams to manage secrets, with real-time sync, native SSO/RBAC, and immutable audit logging. We're building toward SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certification, and growing our customer base among engineering teams who depend on us to protect their most sensitive infrastructure credentials.
The Role
We're hiring an SDR to build our top-of-funnel pipeline, finding the right people, reaching them across every channel that works, and getting real conversations started. This is pure outbound: high volume, multi-channel, relentless.
Your job isn't to close deals, it's to find the right prospects, get their attention, and hand off warm, qualified conversations to move forward. You'll work closely with whoever owns the close (currently our CEO and BDR) to make sure what you're sourcing actually converts.
Responsibilities
- Multi-channel outbound: Run outreach across LinkedIn, cold email, contact forms, cold calls, and relevant online communities (Slack groups, Discord, forums, subreddits) where our target buyers spend time.
- List building and targeting: Identify and build lists of companies and individuals likely to have real secret-management pain, scaling engineering teams, Kubernetes-heavy infrastructure, security-conscious buyers.
- Messaging and testing: Write and test outreach messaging across channels, subject lines, opening lines, follow-up cadences, and iterate based on what's actually getting replies.
- Qualification: Do enough discovery on each response to know if it's a real fit before handing it off.
- Handoff and tracking: Keep a clean, up-to-date pipeline of who's been contacted, where they are in the conversation, and hand off qualified leads cleanly for the next stage.
- Community engagement: Participate genuinely in relevant online spaces (security/DevOps communities, Kubernetes groups, etc.), not just broadcasting, but building real presence where our buyers already are.
What We're Looking For
- Real experience with outbound prospecting, cold email, cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, or similar. Volume-based sales development experience is a strong plus.
- Comfortable being told "no" a lot, and treating it as data, not defeat.
- Organized, you'll be managing a lot of contacts and conversations across multiple channels at once, and nothing should fall through the cracks.
- Some comfort with technical/security-adjacent audiences, or a genuine willingness to learn enough to sound credible to them.
- Self-directed, you don't need a script handed to you to start good conversations.
Compensation
This role is structured as equity plus a success fee, not a base salary.
- Equity: 0.10%–0.15% ownership, vesting over 4 years with a 1-year cliff.
- Success fee: 8% of first-year contract value on any deal that closes from a meeting you personally sourced and qualified, paid when the deal closes, tracked back to your outreach.
We're currently closing our seed round, so this structure reflects where we are today, no salary floor, but real upside tied directly to the pipeline you build.
