Key Responsibilities
- Develop sales strategy and plan with the executive team and execute the plan to achieve sales target and expand customer base.
- Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets within assigned territory.
- Understand the target market, identify key decision makers within that market develop a plan to reach out, engage and connect with them. Work with Suventure business units/practices to develop and drive targeted marketing campaigns and lead generation activities.
- Lead and drive an effective lead generation engine to continuously generate new business leads. Create email campaigns, marketing campaigns, attend industry events, tap social media, and leverage all effective sales channels to continuously build and develop a sales pipeline.
- Identify customer needs, understand customer requirements, discuss appropriate solutions. Lead and drive proposal development with appropriate inputs from practices/business units and close sales contracts and SoW/agreements.
- Work closely with delivery teams to ensure successful project implementations and customer satisfaction. Be proactive in addressing any issues or concerns customers may have. Participate in business review meetings with the customers.
- Build and maintain long-term enduring relationships with key clients and partners to drive revenue growth and increase market share.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities and potential risks.
- Prepare and present regular lead generation, pipeline, and sales reports to the executive team, plan vs actuals, provide in-sights into performance, and identify areas of improvement.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, technologies, and global practices, and use this knowledge to drive customer transformation and innovation projects.
- Traveling and meeting customers on a regular basis.
Qualifications/background and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, computers or related fields, MBA preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- 4-8 years of experience in sales in Mumbai geography, out of which the last 3 + years of experience with an IT Solutions or Services organization with a successful track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
- Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze market trends and identify new opportunities.
- Experience in working with CRM/ sales tools.
