What you must be:

We are seeking a business advisor-consultant, committed to bringing strategic vision and value to our future insurance clients in the Americas. Sales in this arena is a team sport. And at CoverGo, we are indeed a team! But make no mistake, great teams are built by personal effort from self-actuated, self-directed players that understand the importance of their role toward the greater good and come ready to perform. What you must do:

  • Think and contribute. Strategically work independently EVERY DAY, even with the day-to-day repetitive tasks required for successful business development.
  • Do the research. Visit the client webpage, understand their products, hypothesize on their potential challenges.
  • CoverGo has invested in ZoomInfo, AMBest, Salesforce and other sales enablement tools to facilitate the role. Leverage these business development tools to open doors. This will include cold calls, cold emails, LinkedIn and other social network connections/partnerships, etc.
  • Build relationships. Engage with leadership at key, targeted prospective companies (consulting firms, big 4, system integrators, etc) to generate opportunities and ensure customer success.
  • Prospect new health insurance, managed care, and employee benefits insurers in Americas. Run discovery meetings and demos of the CoverGo platform to generate new business.
  • Ask the questions, FIRST. Learn the challenges of prospective influencers and buyers; understand their pain points and then present the vision and benefits of the CoverGo solution.
  • Manage the sales process. Utilize CoverGo’s sales methodology and CRM to accurately forecast. Liaise regularly with CoverGo, Managing Director, VP - Americas. Work to maintain a pipeline of high-quality opportunities.
  • Join industry events in the region to promote CoverGo & generate leads.

What we need:

  • Extensive personal & professional Insurance Industry network within the Americas, with a particular focus on health insurance, managed healthcare (USA), and employee benefits.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written. High preference will be given to bi-lingual or tri-lingual in Spanish and-or Portuguese.
  • An outgoing, proactive, and persuasive influencer with outstanding listening skills. Talk is cheap. We want proven sales effort with the ability to hit the ground running and more importantly, OPEN DOORS!
  • 3+ years B2B SaaS/Technology-based sales experience, experience in insurance or insurtech is strongly desired.
  • Strong understanding of the insurance process and technologies that support insurance processes (SaaS, IT or Tech products).
  • Experience using sales CRM (Salesforce)
  • Experience using prospection tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, etc.
  • Must be based in a large, accessible city of the region with international airport.
