Techster builds infrastructure that keeps that upgrade inside the same retailer checkout. We combine subscription mechanics, residual value modelling, and upgrade-timed routing to turn one-off device sales into predictable, multi-cycle recurring revenue. Instead of reacquiring customers through paid channels, retailers retain them economically — because upgrading at the same checkout is cheaper and easier than leaving. We start with UK iPhone-heavy retailers, where upgrade behaviour already exists (~80% of devices are on monthly payments). The infrastructure to capture those upgrades does not. Our model is asset-light and capital-efficient, partnering with finance providers rather than holding inventory. We are currently pre-seed and building toward 1–2 retailer pilots.
