M&A Advisory - Life Science & Biotech - Analyst

NODES is seeking to add an an Investment Banking Analyst to its Corporate Finance and M&A Team.The associate will be a key member of an experienced team, building a world-class investment banking practice focused primarily on emerging growth Life sciences companies. This position offers the successful candidate the opportunity for increasing exposure to clients, significant responsibility and opportunity for advancement.
The team covers a wide variety of innovative clients in various life sciences sub sectors, including biotechnology, life sciences tools, diagnostics, computational biology. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with these regional and international clients on a wide range of complex transactions including acquisitions, mergers, capital raising, joint ventures, shareholder relations, recapitalizations, and defenses against unsolicited takeover attempts, strategic advisory assignments and executions of public, including Initial Public Offerings, and private capital markets transactions.

Responsibilities:

Bring deep scientific and clinical knowledge to help maintain high quality interactions with the firm’s clients
Perform preparation of valuation analyses of clients and targets
Perform due diligence investigations
Assume responsibility for overseeing the preparation of detailed profiles for companies to be presented to potential buyers, including in-depth scientific, technological, clinical, competitive pipeline and commercial insights on the therapeutic areas and indications addressed by the companies’ product portfolio.
Develop, expand, and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders across the relevant potential deal universe
Develop monthly and quarterly dashboards to support our monthly team wide discussions

Experience and Qualifications Required:

MD, MS, PharmD, PhD or equivalent, with preference for individuals with prior experience in the biopharma consulting or financial industry.
Strong organizational and communication skills including business writing and presentation skills.
Regulatory qualifications (Series 7, 63, etc.) to work in the financial industry within investment banking; individuals not certified will be required to undertake examinations within 3 months of joining the Firm.
Highly motivated, energetic, personable and capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic, meritocratic work environment
