We’re Civic Roundtable – a mission-driven, venture-backed startup (seed led by General Catalyst) that makes government more effective and efficient through technology. We build tools for government workers on the frontlines of public problems that matter to all of us, from preventing homelessness in our communities to administering our elections. Our first product is a collaboration and knowledge sharing platform that saves government workers time and energy by connecting them to the people they trust most: their peers. In our first year alone, we have onboarded thousands of users and are off to the races powering problem-solvers across levels and functions of government.

Civi facilitates civil discourse, problem solving, and organizing with “the other side”. It is meant for the silent majority of Americans who are tired of partisan bickering and believe that open discourse, civility, and compromise are still virtues in politics and society. Civi will be the foundation of a non-partisan movement, starting first in the US, but then scaling to other countries and conflict zones With Civi, users can engage with others with different viewpoints than their own, create communities, organize events and around causes, and break their media bubbles.

The problem, arguably the most important and urgent in the history of our species and the history of democracy: How can we wisely end the ecocide and our fascist regime, since without sufficient democracy soon in America, we will not end the ecocide. Three tools, which we are now building, one already proven are essential according to the best historical research: One that can catalyze moral courage at scale to achieve massive resister recruitment numbers (eg for defacto "General Strikes," one able to rapidly recruit at least 1000 fulltime devoted courageous organizers without depending on huge funders or politically meek nonprofits; and a sufficiently robust well funded mutual aid for mass action funding mechanism able to support defacto general strikes. Our NextGen organizing/mobilizing movement platform will provide these tools free.
