Senior Java Full Stack Developer (Spring Boot & Angular)

Position: Senior Java Full Stack Developer

Location: Montreal, QC (Hybrid - 3 days/week onsite)

Duration: Long-Term Contract

Experience Level: 10+ Years

Role Overview & Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications using Java and Angular for a leading financial services client.

• Build, enhance, and scale microservices and RESTful APIs using Spring Boot.

• Develop responsive, intuitive front-end application interfaces using Angular (v8+).

• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, and cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Participate in technical design sessions, system architecture reviews, code reviews, and troubleshooting.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and deployment activities using Git, Maven, and Jenkins.

• Enforce coding standards, application security guidelines, and performance optimization practices.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• 10+ years of professional full-stack software development experience.

• Strong hands-on proficiency with Java (8/11/17) and Spring Boot microservices architecture.

• Extensive front-end experience with Angular (v8+).

• Proven track record in designing, building, and consuming RESTful web services.

• Solid understanding of object-oriented design patterns, SQL databases, and data modeling.

• Practical experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD workflows.

• Must be available to work hybrid (3 days per week onsite) in Montreal, QC.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).

• Exposure to event-driven/messaging technologies like Kafka or MQ.

• Previous experience in Financial Services or Capital Markets domains.
