Position: Senior Software Development Engineer (Android) – Xfinity Mobile

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Experience: 5+ Years

Role Overview & Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical design, development, and delivery of scalable native Android applications serving millions of consumer users.

• Build key customer-facing features supporting device upgrades, trade-ins, line/plan management, billing/payments, onboarding, and activations.

• Partner with backend engineering to integrate RESTful APIs and handle complex client-server interactions (GraphQL knowledge is a plus).

• Apply Spec-Driven Development (SDD) principles to build software from detailed technical specs, acceptance criteria, and API contracts.

• Drive architectural discussions, code reviews, and champion best practices around clean architecture, dependency injection, MVVM, and CI/CD.

• Utilize Android Jetpack libraries, Kotlin Coroutines, and Flow to build performant, maintainable mobile software.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• 5+ years of professional native Android engineering experience.

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java, with deep knowledge of the Android SDK and Architecture Components.

• Hands-on expertise with MVVM, Clean Architecture, Dependency Injection, Coroutines, and Flow.

• Practical experience with Spec-Driven Development (SDD) and Git-based workflows.

• Must be available on a direct W2 basis in Philadelphia, PA (No CPT/OPT).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose.

• Familiarity with automated unit/UI testing, feature flags, mobile analytics, and GraphQL.
