Duration: 10-12 Weeks (Summer), Year-Round, or Part-Time

About the Role

At ZLG, technology is not just code; it is a business enabler. As a Solutions Architect Intern, you will step into the strategic mindset of our Senior Architects. You will help our team design robust technology roadmaps for enterprise clients before implementation begins.

This internship is ideal for students who bridge the gap between how to build a system (technical) and why they need it (business value). You will play a direct role in shaping technical proposals, preparing client demos, and recommending secure, scalable cloud strategies that drive digital transformation for our partners.

Key Responsibilities

Proposal Development: Collaborate with Senior Solutions Architects to draft technical response documents for RFPs (Request for Proposals) and bid win-boards.

Solution Design: Assist in creating high-level architecture diagrams (using Visio, Lucidchart, Draw.io) that illustrate how client systems will integrate.

Tech Stack Selection: Research and evaluate emerging technologies (Cloud providers, AI APIs, Security tools) to recommend best-fit solutions for specific industry verticals.

Client Presentations: Support the Pre-Sales team by preparing technical sections of pitch decks and participating in junior-level client workshops or webinars.

Gap Analysis: Help clients assess their current infrastructure against new compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, SOC2) and recommend modernization paths.

Proof-of-Concepts (PoC): Execute small-scale PoCs to validate technology feasibility for potential engagements.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

Cloud Fundamentals: Strong conceptual understanding of cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS) and security principles.
Technical Acumen: Familiarity with Language/Framework: e.g., Python, SQL, Kubernetes is a plus.

No need to be an expert coder, but must understand the components you are recommending.
Visual Communication: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear diagrams and documentation.

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Haves)

Cloud Provider Certifications in progress (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals).
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) or Configuration Management (Ansible).

Previous experience writing technical documentation or maintaining a GitHub repository.
Knowledge of API integration (REST/SOAP) and database design.

This is a consulting-first environment. We require a high degree of autonomy and ownership.

Occasional client-facing interaction is expected (Zoom calls, in-person client meetings).

Must be comfortable working on tight deadlines during project crunches.
