Junior Shift Trader

Working Hours: This role requires working on shifts

We are looking to expand our Execution team globally, to support our prop trading business. As a member of our team, you will collaborate with researchers and traders to understand the constantly evolving needs of the trading desks. Your initial product focus will be commodities, specifically the energy trading space, with the intention to diversify overtime. You will have the opportunity to work on longer-term projects as well as conduct analysis on liquidity, trading costs, and the overarching trading universe. Position Overview:

• Perform live monitoring of trading activities
• Use and improve tools to achieve best execution and post-execution analysis
• Maintain and upgrade the configuration of strategies
• Work with strategy owners on the trades, providing feedback and insights based on knowledge of market mechanics and liquidity
• Ensure all required data and related processes are ready for the trading day
• Monitor behavior and performance of strategies
• Work on various longer-term projects required for expanding our systematic and discretionary trading activities
• Manually execute trades for systematic and discretionary strategies on an ad hoc basis

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, computer science or related quantitative field
• Programming proficiency with at least one major programming language (e.g., Python, C++, Java)
• Experience in power or gas preferred but not required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with teammates globally
• Strong interest in finance and trading
• Strong sense of urgency with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
