Product Manager - AI & Data-Driven Insurtech

We are building an AI-powered platform that transforms insurance underwriting, enrollment, and decision-making by leveraging LLMs, agentic models, and reasoning engines to automate and streamline complex workflows.

As a Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in productizing cutting-edge AI innovations. You’ll work at the intersection of AI research, engineering, and product, defining how LLMs, agentic models, and reasoning engines can be leveraged to deliver intelligent, self-improving insurance workflows. Responsibilities:

1. AI Productization – Partner with applied data scientists and research engineers to translate LLM and agentic model innovations into real-world products for insurance carriers and brokers.
2. Product Strategy & Roadmap – Define and execute the roadmap for AI-powered underwriting, automation, and decision-making tools, aligning with company goals. Part of this you own the quarterly roadmaps, break it down to sprints and are responsbile for running daily standups.
3. LLMs & Intelligent Agents – Drive the adoption of LLM-powered reasoning models, document intelligence, and workflow automation within our platform.
4. Research Collaboration – Work closely with internal research labs to test, validate, and integrate new AI capabilities into customer-facing products.
5. Customer Research & Insights – Engage with insurers, underwriters, and brokers to understand their workflows, uncover AI-driven opportunities, and validate solutions.
6. Requirements Definition – Write detailed product specs, user stories, and AI model requirements, ensuring alignment between research, engineering, and business objectives.
7. AI/ML Metrics & Feedback Loops – Define success metrics for LLM-based features, ensuring continuous model refinement, evaluation, and improvement.
8. Collaboration with Engineering & Design – Work closely with ML engineers, software engineers, and designers as part of the daily scrum to build scalable, intuitive AI-powered solutions.
9. Go-To-Market & AI Adoption – Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to drive AI education, adoption, and value realization for customers.
10. Cross-Functional Leadership – Influence teams across engineering, data science, and operations to drive successful AI product launches.

Desired Skills and Experience:

1. 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2+ years in AI/ML-driven products.
2. Strong ability to define and drive a product roadmap for AI/ML-based features, ensuring model development aligns with user needs.
3. Experience working with LLMs, reasoning engines, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agentic models, and NLP applications is a big plus.
4. Deep understanding of AI-driven automation, intelligent decision-making, and agentic systems.
5. Analytical mindset – comfortable with AI/ML performance metrics, experimentation, and feedback loops to refine models.
6. Experience working with MLOps teams, AI research teams, and data science workflows to bring AI models from prototype to production.
7. Strong communication skills – ability to bridge the gap between AI research, engineering, and business teams.
8. Proactive problem solver – thrives in an ambiguous, fast-paced startup environment with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
9. Experience in insurance technology (Insurtech), financial services, or AI-driven automation platforms is a plus.
10. Experience in agile methodologies, scrum, and product development lifecycles.

Education:

BS/MS degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or a related field. A strong technical foundation in AI/ML concepts, NLP, and reasoning models is preferred.
