Position Overview
StepStone Private Wealth is seeking a client service professional to support the onboarding and maintenance of investors and distributors in our Luxembourg domiciled, semi-liquid, open-ended private market funds, including Australian feeder funds. The selected candidate will interact and collaborate with various internal departments including business development, due diligence, fund accounting, fund operations, operational due diligence, legal and compliance. The individual will act as a liaison between investors and administrators / transfer agents, clearing and custody firms, distribution platforms and other third-party vendors.
The position requires excellent, responsive, communication and interpersonal skills as well as a proven track record in managing competing priorities, servicing clients, and working with AML/KYC requirements. The person should ideally have a solid understanding of private markets, private wealth institutions and serving high net worth clients.
To excel in this role, the candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment managing numerous concurrent workstreams.
Essential Job Functions:
Facilitate an exceptional client experience to investors as they onboard into the fund(s), require reporting and when they ultimately redeem.
Understand and explain Luxembourg AML/KYC requirements and support the completion of the subscription process.
Support the external transfer agent as required to ensure investors are in good order with AML/KYC requirements.
Liaise with clearing and custody, global distribution partners, and technology platforms to support investor transactions, reporting, inquiries, and general support.
Collect and report key information to distribution partners, platforms, board of directors and other key stakeholders.
Support the tracking of internal KPIs and metrics to track business growth and reporting to senior management.
Assist with various projects and analyses for the private wealth and business development teams.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Team player with a strong work ethic and an interest in private markets and/or private wealth.
Strong project management skills.
Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player.
Highly organized and self-directed individual who pays close attention to detail and can multi-task among various projects.
Committed to meeting deadlines and progressing workstreams across multiple teams.
Effective and clear communication skills, both verbally and written, with all levels of personnel, both internal and external.
Strong problem-solving capabilities with proven track record of leading projects and initiatives from beginning to end.
Highly motivated, ambitious, individual with a growth mindset that flourishes in a challenging, fast-paced, and professional environment with frequent shifts of priorities as business needs dictate.
Support the on-going diligence of distributors and platforms.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Experience with client service, investor relations or other roles where proactive external and internal communications was required.
Bachelor’s degree in administration, finance, accounting, business, or other related degree preferred.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of client service or private wealth operations experience.
