What You'll Do:
As our Data Scientist/Analyst, you'll be at the heart of making Lil Smiley's AI clever, contextually relevant, and downright hilarious. Your mission is to acquire, build, and organize training data that empowers our AI to deliver top-quality humor and conversations. Here’s how you’ll contribute to the fun:

• Acquire & Prepare Data: Identify, collect, and acquire relevant datasets from a variety of sources (social media, community platforms like Discord, publicly available data) to build training datasets that enhance the AI’s humor and conversational abilities.
• Data Cleaning & Organization: Clean, preprocess, and organize raw data into structured datasets ready for training. You’ll remove noise, annotate data, and ensure it's high-quality and suitable for AI training.
• Develop Data Pipelines: Build data pipelines for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and loading into AI/ML models. You'll automate data workflows to streamline the process of acquiring, updating, and maintaining datasets.
• Curate Proprietary Data: Work with internal teams to gather user-generated content and real-world conversations to feed the AI with dynamic, user-relevant data. This includes user interactions, jokes, and feedback from our community and customers.
• Analyze Data for Insights & Trends: Use statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze data for patterns, trends, and insights that can enhance the AI’s humor, contextual awareness, and responsiveness.
• Collaboration for Model Training: Work closely with AI/ML engineers to align datasets with model requirements. Provide feedback on data quality and suggest improvements for better AI performance.
• Improve Data Quality Over Time: Implement techniques to refine datasets as our AI learns, making sure Lil Smiley’s humor is continuously improving and evolving to meet user expectations.
• Document & Communicate Findings: Document your data processes, findings, and insights clearly. Communicate your work to non-technical team members, providing meaningful input on how data influences AI interactions.

What We're Looking For:

• Data Savvy: Strong experience in data collection, preprocessing, and dataset management. Familiarity with scraping, data APIs, or open-source datasets.
• Proficient in Python & Data Tools: Experience with data analysis tools and languages like Python (Pandas, NumPy), SQL, and libraries like Scikit-learn or TensorFlow for data handling.
• Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze large datasets to find patterns, correlations, and insights that improve AI model performance.
• Experience with NLP & Text Data: Comfort working with text data for Natural Language Processing (NLP) tasks, such as text cleaning, tokenization, sentiment analysis, and contextual embeddings.
• Organized & Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail in managing data quality, organizing large datasets, and documenting data pipelines.
• Problem-Solving Mindset: Creative and solution-oriented approach to data challenges, ensuring AI has access to the most relevant and quality content.
• Collaborative & Communicative: Ability to work effectively with engineers, content creators, and product managers, translating data findings into actionable insights for the team.
• Passion for Humor & AI: Enthusiasm for crafting AI that can understand humor, tell jokes, and deliver a unique personality to users.
