About the role:Procurement Specialist is responsible for procurement and management of HR/Admin orNon-IT related goods and services to support the organization's infrastructure andoperations. This role involves liaising with vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring thetimely acquisition of hardware, software, and services necessary for maintaining a reliableand efficient business operations.
Expectations/ Requirements:Identify, evaluate, and select vendors for hardware, software, andHR/Professional services based on quality, cost, and reliability. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure favorablepricing, terms, and service levels. Negotiate contracts, licenses, and service agreements with vendors to achieveoptimal terms and conditions. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements anddevelop procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives. Generate purchase orders and ensure timely processing of procurement requests,adhering to budgetary constraints and procurement policies. Monitor and track the status of orders, ensuring on-time delivery and resolving anyissues or delays with vendors. Provide pro-active support in new source identification, assessment andevaluation as per strategic sourcing process (RFP/RFQ) followed by POdocumentation and compliance.
General and Task Management Responsible for managing relationships and negotiating with key suppliers at asenior and strategic level.
Oversee team day-to-day operation and performance. Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer supplierpower Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers. Develop an overall vendor base which creates and sustains a competitiveadvantage utilizing global market exploitation, leveraging spends and leveragingtechnologies. Develop, implement and maintain a supplier relationship and evaluation processto measure effective supplier performance and compliance.People Management Provide leadership to departments under control. Coach, mentor and developdirect reports and manage a high performing team that delivers continuousimprovement, added value and cost reductions Set department objectives and monitor ongoing progress and performanceRelationship Management Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholdersto ensure optimal performance. Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitatedelivery and compliance with the purchasing strategy.Self-Management Inspire and motivate the team Knows, develops the team and consistently manages performance firmly andfairly Resilient, optimistic and open to change Shows moral courage, openness and honesty in all dealings Self-motivated and able to work well under pressure Key Skills/Experience Required:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or relatedfield with 6+ years of experience. Proven experience in Non-IT (HR & Admin) procurement, contract negotiation, andvendor management. Strong understanding of HR & Admin functions. Familiarity with procurement processes, including purchase requisition, purchaseorder issuance, and invoice reconciliation. Proficiency in using procurement software and tools for vendor management andcontract administration. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on cost optimizationand value maximization. Effective communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
