Picki is an innovative early-stage travel tech startup dedicated to simplifying the travel planning process with cutting-edge, AI-driven solutions. As we prepare to launch and grow this business, we are looking for a creative and motivated Marketing Assistant to help us build our social media presence and assist with content creation. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced startup environment while maintaining flexibility over how and where you complete your work.
Position Overview:
The Marketing Assistant will work as an independent contractor, collaborating with the founder to support the development of our marketing initiatives. This is a 5-10 hour per week project for one month, with the possibility of future contracts as the company grows. You will have the flexibility to set your own schedule and determine how to best complete the tasks outlined.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Social Media Setup & Management:
- Collaborate with the founder to define social media strategies and goals.
- Set up and manage profiles on TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Create and schedule engaging content for each platform, ensuring alignment with the company’s brand voice and style.
- Monitor engagement metrics and provide updates on platform growth.
2. Content Creation:
- Brainstorm and develop content ideas for social media, blogs, and email marketing.
- Write and edit blog posts, ensuring they are optimized for SEO and fit the brand's tone and voice.
- Repurpose content across platforms to maximize visibility and engagement.
3. Email Campaigns:
- Assist with the setup of email campaigns using platforms such as Brevo, Mailchimp, Sendgrid.
- Help design email templates and collaborate on email content ideas.
- Monitor performance of email campaigns and suggest optimizations as needed.
4. Additional Support:
- Conduct research on digital marketing trends and travel industry insights to inform marketing strategies.
- Provide updates and feedback on the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
- Other projects as required.
Qualifications:
- Interest or experience in digital marketing, especially in the travel or tech industries.
- Familiarity with social media platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc.
- Strong writing skills with a focus on content creation and editing.
- Experience with basic design tools like Canva and Figma or similar tools.
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms is a bonus.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and an ability to manage your own workflow.
- Bonus: Experience with SEO, social media analytics, PR, customer reseasrch, or video editing. **
Location: Remote (U.S.-Based)
Hours: 5-10 hours per week
Duration: 1-month contract (with potential for future projects)
Compensation: $15 / hour
