Journalism Internship

Starting in 2014 with the goal of bringing together generations to inspire and promote sustainability, Impakter is now a global news platform dedicated to sustainability. We work with key organizations such as the UN, WWF, Institute of Economics and Peace, Institutes and accelerators/incubators in the US and EU.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Journalism Intern in the Content Team.
If you are looking for editorial experience, you want to polish up your writing skills for a media platform, would like to gain insight into the editorial process of a news team and you are passionate about topics related to sustainability.

Please note that this is a 3-month unpaid internship program.

QUALIFICATIONS
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and proofreading abilities.
• Experience with WordPress is welcome but not required.
• Basic understanding of SEO
• Fluent English Mandatory, (C1)

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Data analytics: You will write sustainability-related marketing and trending articles, focusing on weekly KPIs.
• Data driven strategy: You will pitch content ideas based on data and strategy and be able to write them on the spot.
• Content management: Reading and responding to articles as they come in, with thoughts about structure, argument, and ideas.
• SEO Strategy: create and use our various SEO tools to grow and distribute content across various key verticals, geolocation and communities.
• Global Leaders Strategy: Conducting interviews with noteworthy individuals in the sustainability industry:
  • Public figures,
  • Political figures,
  • Private sector leaders (CEO, entrepreneurs, creators, etc)

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN
How a media outlet work around the news cycle and speed of execution.
You will learn how to use all the tools and instruments that the tech and social media world require from you: communication, execution, data analytics, SEO, content marketing, PR, and marketing.

WHAT YOU WILL FINISH WITH
Upon successful completion of the internship, you will be provided a letter of recommendation.
