Communications Manager Intern

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement communication strategies that align with the company's goals.
• Create comprehensive communication plans, including internal and external communications, PR, and media relations.
• Build and maintain relationships with media outlets and journalists.
• Prepare press releases, media kits, and respond to media inquiries.
• Coordinate and manage press conferences and media events.
• Develop and execute crisis communication plans to protect the company’s reputation.
• Act as the primary contact for media during a crisis, ensuring clear and accurate messaging.
• Facilitate effective internal communication across all departments.
• Develop communication strategies to engage employees and keep them informed of company news and initiatives.
• Manage internal newsletters, announcements, and meetings.
• Ensure consistent brand messaging across all communication channels.
• Collaborate with marketing to ensure alignment of communication strategies with brand objectives.
• Plan and execute company events, ensuring clear communication before, during, and after the event.
• Manage all aspects of event-related communication, including invitations, promotional materials, and post-event follow-ups.

Requirements:

• Excellent Communication Skills: Both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.
• Strong Writing and Editing Skills: Proficiency in writing press releases, speeches, articles, and other forms of communication.
• Media Relations Expertise: Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets.
• Social Media Savvy: Experience in managing and creating content for social media platforms.
• Crisis Management: Ability to develop and implement crisis communication strategies.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze communication strategies and their impact, using metrics and data to inform decisions.
• Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with Communication Tools: Experience with tools such as content management systems (CMS), email marketing platforms, social media management tools, and analytics software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Design Skills (preferred): Basic knowledge of graphic design tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and manage communication strategies in a dynamic environment.
• High Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and consistency in all communications and branding efforts.
• Creative Thinking: Ability to develop innovative communication strategies and content that engages audiences and enhances brand image.
• Global Perspective: Awareness and sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to tailor communications to diverse audiences.
• Passionate about the user and understanding the psychology of the user
• Great communication skills to present the progress properly to the team
