The Marketing and Sales Coordinator will be responsible for expanding First Fish sales through retail and wholesale channels by identifying new customers and building strong relationships with existing ones.

First Fish is a non-profit working with Inuit communities in Nunavut to bring down wild caught seafood. Our goal is to share their incredible products and stories across Canada through different channels.All our products are caught using local, traditional, sustainable methods that the fishermen have been using for thousands of years from some of cleanest waters in Canada. The seafood that comes from these communities is extremely unique and exciting for consumers, and we need your help to share the story!
Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Sales, you will be responsible for identifying new consumers through our 3 primary sales channels (retail, restaurants, and wholesale) and to meet and exceed outlined sales targets.
This position is hybrid - with the option to work from home 2/3 days a week but some weekly in-person office days required for order prep, sales meetings etc. As this is a sales position for a physical product, there is often a necessity to be on the road to fulfill sales orders, drop-off samples etc. so you will need access to a car.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of First Fish products and updated information from our partner communities up north.
- Create a sales strategy for securing new business, targeting the 3 primary sales channels currently served by First Fish.
- Meet monthly sales targets outlined by First Fish.
- Acquire new customers and support existing customers in order to increase overall sales and achieve business growth.
- Produce and regularly update marketing materials to achieve sales targets and maintain the First Fish branding.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales and partnerships.
