… and on the topic of hiring, we’re looking for a Senior Billing & Revenue Manager who is passionate about solving problems through efficiency across our end to end billing and revenue recognition processes. This is an exciting year for us when it comes to improving operational excellence! We are implementing a new billing system within NetSuite as our billing engine and we’re also implementing Advanced Revenue Management (ARM) within NetSuite so it would be a great time to join us and get involved in creating new scalable and compliant processes.
Reporting to our Head of Billing, you will join the Process Excellence team (sitting in Finance) and you will be responsible for
- Delighting our customers by solving or presenting solutions for complex billing and revenue recognition problems presented by our internal teams
- Building strong foundations by working closely with other functions (e.g Engineering and Product) to identify collaboration opportunities
- Preparing and controlling SaaS subscriptions revenue recognition
- Having an overview of financial revenue recognition which is prepared by a specific team
- Delivering operational excellence by creating simple processes across billing and revenue recognition
- The implementation of a new billing system within NetSuite
We believe that you’ll thrive in this role if you
- Have proven experience in revenue recognition and billing within a finance org
- Are well versed in IFRS 15 (revenue accounting standard)
- Have experience is using financial tools and systems e.g. experience with CRM & Finance Tools (Netsuite, Advanced Revenue Management, HubSpot etc.) would be advantageous
- Have experience with SOX Compliance and ITGC
- Have experience of working within a SaaS or Financial company
- Are a self-starter and can work independently to drive workload and identify areas of opportunity
- Have solid experience in troubleshooting and/or answering complex customer queries in a timely and professional manner
- Have exposure to contracts, invoicing & reconciliations (this would be advantageous)
- Possess advanced Excel skills - e.g. VLOOKUP, IF formulas, sorting and analyzing data etc.
- Relish solving new problems and approach everything with a sense of curiosity
- Are customer obsessed and understand the importance of having a customer-focused mindset when making decisions
- Care deeply about individuals as human beings – we focus on authentic leadership a lot
- Love learning and can rally people around you to try new things with you
