What you will do:
CoverGo is looking for a Sales Engineer to join our pre-sales & product team in the Americas. You will focus on assisting the sales team in the sales conversion process regarding technical aspects of the CoverGo solution. You will deliver an in depth demo to clients, answer technical questions, configure simple POCs for clients, gather requirements to answer RFPs and technical aspects of proposals, liaise with product and Project Managers teams for delivery estimations and/or to handover deals once converted.
- Support sales teams in closing deals by delivery in depth demos of the CoverGo platform, answering technical questions, and configuring simple proof of concepts.
- Serve customers by identifying their needs and engineering adaptations of the CoverGo platform.
- Identify current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers in a position to understand service requirements.
- Prepares cost estimates, proposals and RFPs by studying all related customer documents, consulting with engineers, architects, and other professional personnel.
- Determines improvements in clients ecosystems by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of current client equipment and systems vs adopting the CoverGo platform, gaining customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements.
- Once deals are closed won by the sales team, handle the handover process with the delivery team and lead the project kick-off meeting.
- Develop customer’s staff by providing technical information and training.
- Prepare sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Contribute to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed, recommending options and courses of action, and implementing directives.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
What we need:
- 5+ years experience with technical sales of insurance systems, distributed systems, infrastructure software like databases, SaaS, APIs, no-code systems, or big data products.
- Recent (past 3-5 years) track record closing complex enterprise and/or strategic deals within the insurance industry.
- Exceptional presentation and communications capabilities.
- Confidence presenting to a highly skilled and experienced audience, including enterprise architects and C-level executives.
- Clear, consistent demonstration of self-starter behavior and a desire to tackle hard technical problems
- Bachelor’s level degree in Computer Science or relevant experience
- Proficiency in Java or Python with experience developing ETL applications
- Attention to details
- Fast learner, excited and willing to learn new technology on an ongoing basis
- Great English communication skills (presentation, verbal and written), Spanish is a plus
- Enjoys a fast-paced environment and loves teamwork and collaboration
- Previous experience building solutions for insurance or financial services companies is a plus.
- Understanding of systems operations concepts
- Experience building and operating large-scale systems
- Physical base in Americas time zone
