The Opportunity
Sales Engineering is often referred to as the backbone of a sales organization. We are searching for an SE Operations Manager to help keep that backbone aligned by instilling efficiency and effectiveness into all we do as part of the sales cycle. This role will have a tremendous impact on not only the sales organization, but provide exposure across a number of other functional departments (ie; product management, customer success, marketing).
The person that will thrive in this role is someone who is a natural born problem solver, is driven to improve efficiency, enjoys teaching others, is a “systems thinker”, and wants to have a larger impact on an organization. You will have an opportunity to improve existing processes, implement new ones, create systems that effectively link field level feedback to the business, and help enable the team to consistently execute against the metrics that are most important to the organization.

- You are data driven; reporting and analytics are an important part of your operational path. You can derive methods and create reports based on observations that will deliver value to you, the team and the wider organization
What you’ll do:
- Building and automating core business reports, dashboards and alerts (while also building them in a scalable way that allows us to standardize reporting, reduce report proliferation, and allow multiple departments, teams, users to leverage the same report/dashboard)
- Own and operate existing Pre Sales tools to drive operational excellence (eg; Vivun)
- Identify and implement processes, tools and systems to drive greater consistency and efficiency (eg; RFP response solution)
- Create documentation around existing and new processes. Identify gaps and areas for improvement, recommend and implement improvements.
- Enable/train the team to execute consistently with defined processes and tools
- Setting up and onboarding of new hires as part of the holistic SE onboarding program
- Work closely with key stakeholders of other departments to drive effective collaboration amongst teams (eg; consistent feedback from field into product management)
Experience you’ll need:
- 3-5+ years in a role as a Sales Engineer
- Proven ability to create elegant reports and dashboards within Salesforce. Salesforce admin experience a plus
- Experience with Vivun a plus
- Are a clear and proactive communicator, both verbally and in writing
- You have kept meticulous documentation in a system (eg; Confluence)
- Track record of success building relationships with various stakeholders within a company
- Ability to adapt in a fast paced environment, balancing competing priorities
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to focus on details
- Have designed process/systems with proven improved efficiency gains
