Job Description
As a QA Analyst on this team, you will own quality for our reporting portal, which houses reports used by internal teams and Health Care partners. You will validate reports covering financial transactions, customer segmentation and product usage metrics, working directly with business users, developers and technical teams. You will build test plans and test cases, write queries to reconcile report data against source systems, identify bugs and work with development teams to get them fixed. We expect the person to be a collaborative problem solver, team player and committed to building quality products.

Responsibilities

• Build test plans and test cases for a reporting portal serving internal teams and Health Care partners
• Test reports dealing with financial transactions, customer segmentation and product usage metrics
• Write queries against relational databases to validate and reconcile data in the reports
• Build testing tools to load data from files and support repeatable test data setup
• Identify, isolate, document and report bugs, and work with development teams through fix and retest
• Partner with business users and technical teams to understand report requirements and acceptance criteria
• Maintain test data and execute functional and regression testing for each release
• Capture quality metrics and report on test results

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• 6+ years of experience as a QA Analyst or in a similar data/report testing role
• Experience working on a large-scale reporting platform
• Strong SQL skills with relational databases such as MySQL or Postgres, including writing complex queries to reconcile and validate data
• Experience testing reports involving financial transactions, customer segmentation and product usage metrics
• Experience writing test plans, test cases and other test documentation
• Experience building simple testing tools or scripts (e.g. Python) to load and compare data from files
• Experience working with business users, developers and cross-functional teams
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps
• Experience with managed databases in a cloud infrastructure, such as Postgres or MySQL, is a plus *
