Electronics Engineer

SkyAlpha Systems is a defense technology startup building electronics for defense, surveillance, and mission-critical applications.

We are looking for an Electronics Engineer who enjoys working close to the hardware — from circuit design and PCB development to board bring-up, testing, debugging, and hardware-software integration.

This is a hands-on, on-site role in North Bangalore. You will work closely with firmware and systems engineers to develop and bring up real-world electronic systems.

What you'll work on

• Design, develop, test, and debug analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics.
• Create schematics and PCB layouts using Altium, KiCad, OrCAD, Eagle, or equivalent tools.
• Select components and prepare BOMs, schematics, and engineering documentation.
• Work with embedded hardware, sensors, signal conditioning, power supplies, and communication interfaces.
• Perform PCB bring-up, testing, and hardware debugging using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and other laboratory equipment.
• Work closely with firmware and systems engineers on hardware-software integration.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues systematically and take designs from prototype to a working system.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, or a related field.
• Strong fundamentals in analog and digital electronics, circuit theory, power supplies, and electronic components.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools.
• Good understanding of PCB design principles, component selection, grounding, routing, and signal integrity.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of microcontrollers, sensors, ADCs/DACs, and interfaces such as SPI, I²C, UART, CAN, or Ethernet.
• Ability to read and understand circuit schematics, datasheets, and application notes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A hands-on approach to building, testing, debugging, and improving hardware.
