The Mission

At OneAssure, we aren't just selling policies; we are tearing down the legacy walls of the Indian insurance sector. We are engineering a highly available, multi-tier discovery and distribution engine that will disrupt how insurance is purchased, experienced, and serviced. We are looking for an SDE Intern to join the trenches, push code to production, and help us drive the future of our engineering roadmap.

Who You Are?

You are a builder. We believe that the ability to rapidly grok a new framework, dive into unfamiliar documentation, and adapt to shifting system requirements is far more valuable than memorizing standard algorithmic puzzles. We value exceptional problem-solving, but we apply it to messy, real-world architectural bottlenecks, not isolated brain-teasers.

This is not a "fetch the coffee" internship. It is an apprenticeship in building scalable, distributed systems. If you are relentlessly curious, self-motivated, and looking to lay an unbreakable technical foundation for a serious engineering career, you belong here.

What You'll Ship & Own?

• Architect for Scale: Design and engineer multi-tier, high-throughput applications built to operate flawlessly 24x7.
• Platform Thinking & Observability: You don't just throw code over the wall; you own the entire lifecycle of the product. You understand that shipping a feature is only half the job: knowing how it behaves in the wild is the rest. You will instrument systems leveraging open-source observability standards (like Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry) to ensure our platforms are deeply traceable, monitored, and resilient.
• The AI Pragmatist: You leverage AI coding assistants to move faster, but you never outsource your thinking. You know how to instruct an AI to architect a solution the right way because you understand the underlying principles yourself. More importantly, you can ruthlessly review LLM-generated code to spot hallucinations, structural flaws, and security gaps before they reach production.
• Raise the Bar: Spot inefficiencies in our workflows, automate the boring stuff, and evangelize tools or practices that make the entire engineering team faster.
• Own the Quality: Take absolute pride in your code. From your local environment to production, you will take responsibility for testing, debugging, and shipping robust logic.
• Communicate & Document: Write code that speaks for itself, and documentation (like RFCs and architecture notes) clear enough that the next engineer will thank you.
• Collaborate: Be an active, vocal participant in our Agile process. Ask the hard questions and absorb feedback like a sponge.

Your Arsenal (Qualifications)

• The Fundamentals: A deeply ingrained understanding of CS fundamentals. You know your data structures, object-oriented programming, and design patterns: but more importantly, you know when and why to apply them in the wild.
• The Stack: Proficiency in ReactJS / NextJS, Golang, or Python and the opensource ecosystem that was built around these languages. (or the proven ability to pick them up at warp speed).
• The Datastore: A solid mental model of databases. You understand when to rely on Postgres for relational integrity, when to reach for Redis, and when a use-case calls for NoSQL (like MongoDB) or vector databases.
• The Cloud Agnostic: You aren't tied to a single vendor's UI. You understand the core principles of distributed computing and infrastructure across multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP & Azure). Familiarity with modern orchestration (Kubernetes, Istio) or Temporal workflows is a massive bonus.
• The Mindset: Exceptional analytical skills, a low ego, strong interpersonal communication, and a chronic dissatisfaction with "good enough."
