About Promethist
Promethist is a deep-tech company building the next generation of enterprise conversational AI. We combine conversational AI with psychological and behavioral expertise to create Relational agents that enterprises deploy in production, at scale, to enhance performance, and engagement across customer service, HR, employee care, education, and beyond.
Our technology is live inside large enterprises, including a leading European bank scaling a deployment from hundreds to thousands of seats. We care about human-centric design, real outcomes, and being a voice worth listening to in the AI conversation, not another vendor adding to the hype.
You'll join a small, forward-thinking team that moves fast and takes narrative seriously.
The Role
The Communications Lead owns how Promethist shows up to the world, in the press, on stage, on LinkedIn, in a customer's inbox, and in the deck a CIO forwards to their board.
AI is the loudest, most crowded story in tech, and most of what enterprises hear is either hype or word salad generated by the very tools being sold to them. Your job is the opposite: clarity, credibility, and a distinct voice. You take a sophisticated product and make its value legible to the people who sign enterprise contracts, CIOs, CISOs, CFOs, and line-of-business leaders, without dumbing it down or overselling it.
You are a strategist who executes. You set the narrative, then write the words yourself, using AI tools to move at multiples of traditional speed while sounding unmistakably human.
What you'll own
Narrative & positioning: Own the Promethist story: what it is, why it matters, why now. Keep one coherent narrative running through every launch, post, byline, and pitch, and evolve it as the product and market move.
Enterprise translation: Turn complex AI capabilities into language business decision-makers act on. Write for the CIO, the CFO, and the compliance officer, people who evaluate technology by risk and outcomes, not model benchmarks.
Founder & executive voice: Build leadership's thought-leadership engine: ghostwrite op-eds and keynotes, prep media appearances, and shape the point of view that makes Promethist a voice worth quoting.
Media & press: Cultivate relationships with business, tech, and industry press; drive proactive stories, not just launch coverage. Handle inbound, briefings, and the occasional fire.
Customer & partner storytelling: Own case studies and partnership announcements end-to-end, from getting the customer to say yes, to interviewing, writing, and distributing proof that enterprises trust more than any claim we make ourselves.
Content with a human fingerprint: Set the editorial bar across blog, LinkedIn, and newsletters. In a feed where everything reads AI-generated, make Promethist the content people can tell a person stood behind, while using AI tools aggressively behind the scenes to produce more, faster.
Messaging discipline: Maintain the messaging house, competitive positioning, and reusable comms playbooks so Sales, Marketing, and leadership all tell the same story without waiting on you.
Fill the gaps: Internal comms, crisis comms, event talking points, analyst briefings, pick up whatever an early-stage company needs communicated well.
What success looks like
When an enterprise buyer hears “Promethist,” they can say in one sentence what it does and why it's credible. The company earns recurring coverage and speaking slots it didn't have to buy, executives are quoted as voices in the AI conversation, and every launch lands with a clear story Sales can repeat verbatim, measured in share of voice, inbound quality, and how often our own words show up in customers' mouths.
Who you are
A writer first, a strategist always. Someone who genuinely understands AI well enough to explain it without hand-waving, has the enterprise instincts to know what a CIO cares about (and what makes them roll their eyes), and enough press savvy to know a story from a wish. High-agency and hands-on: comfortable being the entire comms function, biased toward shipping the sharp 800-word post today over the perfect strategy doc next month.
Requirements
- • Native or fully bilingual English. You write English that reads unmistakably human and native, voice, rhythm, and nuance, not just correct grammar. This is non-negotiable.
- • Several years in communications, PR, content, or copywriting, ideally in technology, AI, or B2B/enterprise products.
- • A genuine writer: proven range across press releases and media-ready materials, bylines and thought-leadership, landing pages and campaigns, case studies, and executive ghostwriting.
- • Real understanding of AI, enough to explain it credibly to a technical buyer without hype or hand-waving.
- • Enterprise instincts: you know how CIOs, CISOs, and CFOs evaluate technology and how to earn their trust.
- • Press savvy, ideally with existing relationships across business, tech, or industry media.
- • Fluent with AI tools to move fast, you use them as leverage, not a crutch.
- • Excellent editorial judgment and proofreading: attention to detail, consistency, and a high bar across everything with your name on it.
- • Comfortable owning multiple projects and deadlines with little supervision.
- • Familiarity with both B2B and B2C communication strategies and audience segmentation.
- • A relevant degree or equivalent experience in communications, marketing, journalism, or linguistics.
