Software Development Intern

Vercentlabs LLP is building a modern, cloud-based ERP platform for businesses, covering CRM, Sales, Procurement, Inventory, Point of Sale, HR & Payroll, Projects, Manufacturing, Support, Quality, Assets, Accounting and other business operations.

We are looking for Software Development Interns who want hands-on experience working on a real SaaS product. This is not a practice-project internship. You will work directly on the Vercentlabs ERP codebase and contribute to features that will be used by real businesses.

You will work across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, testing and product improvement. Depending on your skills and interests, you may work on modules such as CRM, Sales, Stock, Procurement, POS, HR, Accounting, Projects or other parts of the ERP.

What you will work on:

Develop and improve production features for the Vercentlabs ERP platform.
Build responsive and user-friendly interfaces using React, Next.js and TypeScript.
Work with backend APIs, databases and business logic.
Fix bugs and improve performance, usability and responsiveness.
Convert product requirements and UI designs into working software.
Write clean, reusable and maintainable code.
Test features before release and help identify product issues.
Work with Git/GitHub and participate in code reviews.
Understand how different ERP modules interact with each other.
Help improve the overall UI/UX and reliability of the platform.
Take ownership of assigned features and contribute ideas for improving the product.
Contribute toward successful product adoption, onboarding and overall business growth where possible.

We are looking for students or recent graduates from Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or related fields. Candidates should have a basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and programming fundamentals. Knowledge of React.js, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, Git/GitHub, responsive design or related technologies will be an advantage.

We value learning ability, ownership, problem-solving skills and the ability to build working software more than years of experience. Beginners who are serious about becoming strong software developers are encouraged to apply.

Internship Compensation & PPO

This is an unpaid internship.

However, this internship includes an opportunity for a performance-based Pre-Placement Offer (PPO). Exceptional interns may be considered for a full-time Software Developer position with a proposed CTC of ₹5–6 LPA after successful completion of the internship.

PPO consideration will be based on measurable contribution to the Vercentlabs ERP product, engineering quality, ownership, problem-solving ability, successful delivery of production-ready features, consistency, teamwork and demonstrated contribution toward product adoption and business growth.

Candidates who make exceptional engineering contributions and materially contribute toward the success of the product—including helping improve the software, assisting with successful customer onboarding, improving product usability, solving real customer problems or contributing toward customer acquisition and adoption—may receive strong consideration for the PPO.

The PPO is performance-based and is not guaranteed. The purpose of the internship is to give candidates an opportunity to prove their capabilities by making meaningful contributions to a real SaaS product.

By the end of the internship, you will have practical experience working with a large software product involving frontend development, backend development, APIs, databases, authentication, permissions, responsive UI/UX, testing, debugging, SaaS architecture and enterprise business workflows.
