SUMMARY
Designation : Firmware Development Associate (Fixed Tenure)
Functional Area : Embedded Application and Middleware Sofware Development
Location : Remote Acceptable
Tenure : 6 Months (Fixed Tenure)
Skills : RTOS, Device Drivers, Embb-C, Controllers
Qualification : UG/PG with specialisation in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or specialised related fields.
Functional Area : Wearables, IoT Systems, Mil-Grade Tech, Electronic Systems
Compensation : Upto USD1.5k CTC Annually (Depending on Experience and Education level)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Takes ownership of Firmware component of project and on requisite Timescale conceives, designs, develops, and tests Complete High-quality Firmware in-line with the requirement of various Wearable products.
- should be able to work with minimal supervision. This role may involve mentoring of junior members of the team.
- Maintenance of software including versions, hardware changes, defect investigation, troubleshooting, requirement changes.
- Interact, understand and support Hardware Engineering requirements for Product development.
- Documentation and presentation of analyses and results to core teams and management.
SKILLS
- Excellent C (and assembler) programming skills with proven experience of writing efficient code for low powered and memory constrained systems for Embbeded Devices. EXPERIENCE WITH CONTROLLER PROGRAMMING IS MANDATORY -MANDATORY Familiar with embedded operating systems and SDKs (e.g. Zephyr, FreeRTOS, nRF SDK, ESP-IDF, Arm® Mbed™, Arduino)
- Strong analytical and innovative problem solving abilities
- Knowledge of wireless protocols and applications
- Knowledge of Real-time operating systems
- Knowledge of Ultra-low power implementations
- Knowldege of ARM Cortex or similar micro-controllers
- MANDATORY Knowledge of Device drivers for hardware such as BLE, UART, SPI, I2C, timers, or NVM
- Working experience in Unix / Linux operating system
- Proven experience in embedded systems design, Device Driver development
- Must have good knowledge of Bluetooth, BLE, Wi-Fi standards
- Candidates having experience in developing wearables (SmartWatch), Hearables (TWS, headphones) and IoT systems are preferred
- Knowledge of coding for hardware sensors like Accelerometer, Gyro, Magnetometer, PPG, ECG and other medical sensors etc. and software/algorithmic sensors like Pedometer, Display sensors, Motion Detection, medical device equation derivative sensors etc. required.
- Hardware Hacking skills (Dissecting Popular Electronics and Component Breakdown, Feature Analysis and Modification)
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in Tech Product based Startups and Core-Engineering Companies, preferred.
- Previous experience in Wearables, IoT Device, Medical Devices, Diagnostic Systems, MIL-Grade Electronics, preferred.
- Willingness to learn new Skills, Self-Manageable and Motivated to succeed.
