As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an Engineering Lead who will own technical excellence across the company and become the trusted technical leader for our engineering team.

• Engineering best practices While this has helped us build a strong engineering culture, it also creates a bottleneck. Your mission is to become the engineering leader who removes that dependency by empowering the team to make better technical decisions while maintaining exceptional quality.

What You’ll Own
Technical Leadership
Be the primary technical escalation point for the engineering team.
Guide developers through architecture, implementation, and technical decisions.
Help engineers choose the right solution based on business goals, scalability, and delivery timelines.
Resolve technical blockers across projects.
Lead technical discussions and engineering reviews.
Shopify & eCommerce Engineering

• Provide guidance across:
• Shopify Theme Development
• Shopify Functions
• Checkout Extensibility
• Shopify APIs
• Metafields & Metaobjects
• Custom Apps
• Integrations
• Performance Optimization
• Third-party Platforms
• Custom Backend Solutions AI & Emerging Technologies Help the team evaluate and implement technologies such as:
• LLMs
• AI APIs
• Voice AI
• Automation Platforms
• AI Agents
• Internal Engineering Tools You are not expected to know every technology today. You are expected to learn quickly, evaluate new technologies, and confidently guide the team toward practical solutions. Engineering Excellence Own the overall technical quality of our engineering organization. Responsibilities include: Code Reviews Coding Standards Architecture Reviews Technical Documentation Engineering Processes Technical Debt Management Reusable Components Best Practices Mentorship Help every engineer become better. This includes: Pair Programming Technical Coaching Internal Workshops Design Reviews Problem Solving Sessions Knowledge Sharing Your success is measured not only by what you build, but by how much stronger you make the entire engineering team. Delivery Enablement Work closely with Project Managers by: Reviewing technical estimates. Identifying project risks. Recommending implementation strategies. Helping balance engineering quality with delivery speed. Ensuring technical blockers never stop project progress.

What We’re Looking For

Required
6+ years of software engineering experience.
Strong expertise in Shopify development.
Excellent understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, Liquid, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend architecture.
Experience with Shopify APIs and custom development.
Strong debugging and system design skills.
Experience mentoring developers.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to make technical decisions under pressure.

Nice to Have
AI integrations and LLM experience.
Node.js or backend development.
Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
Experience with automation platforms.
CRO or eCommerce optimization experience.

Compensation & Growth

CTC: ₹20 LPA+ (Based on experience, technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and overall fit.)
