Design Intern

Role Overview

We are looking for a Design Intern with a strong foundation in visual design, graphic design and practical UI/UX design capabilities, along with an interest in digital product design. The role involves designing user interfaces and digital experiences for web and mobile applications, translating product requirements into effective design solutions and contributing to the development of intuitive, user-friendly products.
The role also involves creating visual communication and marketing assets, including brochures, company profiles, social media creatives, presentations, sales collaterals and promotional materials, along with video and multimedia content as required.

Candidates should have practical exposure to relevant projects and be able to demonstrate their capabilities through actual work, project examples and individual contributions. We value creative and analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities and the ability to approach challenges from both user and product perspectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design digital product interfaces and experiences for web and mobile applications.
• Understand product requirements, user needs and business objectives before initiating design.
• Translate concepts, requirements and ideas into wireframes, user flows, screen layouts and high-fidelity designs.
• Create clean, intuitive and visually appealing interfaces with a focus on usability and consistency.
• Work on user journeys, navigation structures, workflows and application functionalities.
• Understand how different product features interact and contribute to a seamless user experience.
• Identify design gaps and suggest improvements to existing interfaces and product experiences.
• Apply creative and analytical thinking to solve design and usability challenges.
• Develop interactive prototypes and reusable UI components using Figma.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver design solutions.
• Design brochures, company profiles, presentations, social media posts, sales collaterals and other marketing materials.
• Create visual assets for the company's branding, website and digital presence
• Complete assigned design deliverables within agreed timelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Degree, diploma or certification in Design or a related field.
• Understanding of visual design fundamentals and digital product design.
• Knowledge of graphic design, visual composition, typography, colour theory, spacing and layout.
• Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with wireframing and prototyping.
• Understanding of UI/UX principles, user flows, user journeys and interaction design.
• Ability to understand requirements and translate them into practical design solutions.
• Creative thinking, analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and consistency.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to changing requirements and feedback.
• Proactive approach, ownership of assigned responsibilities and willingness to take initiative.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience designing web and mobile applications.
• Familiarity with design systems and reusable UI components.
• Exposure to user research, usability testing and user journey mapping.
• Understanding of responsive design.
• Basic understanding of HTML and CSS.

Compensation:

Compensation will be based on skills, portfolio quality, creative aptitude and interview performance. We are flexible within the stated range for deserving candidates who demonstrate strong design capabilities, creativity and attention to detail.
