About the job
**This is a hybrid role. **At Bluevine, we pride ourselves on our collaborative culture, which we believe is best maintained through in-person interactions and a vibrant office environment. All of our offices have reopened in accordance with local guidelines, and are following a hybrid model. In-office days will be determined by location and discipline.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Bluevine is looking for an experienced Product Manager to own and drive key lending and credit initiatives across our business financing products. This person will define and execute the roadmap for lending acquisition, eligibility, underwriting, offer generation, lender network integrations, customer-facing financing experiences, and internal operational workflows that support credit decisioning and servicing.
This role sits at the intersection of Product, Risk, Data, Engineering, Sales, Operations, Compliance, and external lending partners. The ideal candidate is comfortable working through complex credit and operational logic, translating business and risk requirements into scalable product experiences, and improving how small businesses discover, qualify for, accept, and manage financing through Bluevine.
The platform and systems in this domain are mission-critical: they determine which customers are eligible for financing, how offers are generated and displayed, how applications move through underwriting, how partner lenders receive data, and how internal teams manage exceptions, statuses, communications, and follow-up workflows.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
● Own and drive the product roadmap for lending and credit experiences across the lending business unit — aligning features and initiatives to company strategy, OKRs, and KPIs through close collaboration with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
● Conduct business discovery and gather requirements from a broad set of internal stakeholders, including risk, back-office operations, accounting, finance, and legal compliance teams
● Define detailed technical specifications for new features and projects, outlining business requirements, acceptance criteria, and system design considerations — serving as a precise guide for engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle
● Partner closely with R&D and QA teams through sprint planning and execution, conducting UAT before production deployments and driving issues and bugs to resolution
● Monitor and maintain mission-critical systems across payments, accounting, and capital markets — ensuring data accuracy, integrating with banks and vendors, and enhancing internal operational tools for efficiency and scalability
● Identify the business case for new products and enhancements through data analysis, SQL-based querying, customer feedback, and stakeholder input — prioritizing work for highest business impact
● Facilitate smooth communication between R&D teams and business stakeholders, providing regular project updates, managing expectations, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks
● Conduct demo sessions for new features prior to launch and develop training materials and reports for stakeholders and partners
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
● 5+ years experience as a Product Manager in a fast-paced technology company
● Fintech lending experience is a plus but not mandatory.
● A self-starter with a bias to action who is able to move projects forward and lead a cross-functional team towards product solution
● Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse group of technical and non-technical stakeholders
● Advanced analytical skills, including experience with data analysis and SQL
● Experience managing complex projects with limited resources and competing priorities
● Experience with using AI tools such as Gemini, ChatGPT and Claude for research, automation and prototyping.
● B.A. or B.S. in physics, computer science, engineering, or related field
● Previous work experience in a technical role is a plus
● Masters, PhD, or MBA will be considered when evaluating work experience
