Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET-1)

Role Overview

CoreShield Technologies is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET-1) to join our Engineering team in Bangalore. You will work on cutting-edge, AI-driven products and play a key role in designing and building scalable automation frameworks that ensure high-quality, reliable, and performant software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Framework Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable, reusable automation frameworks.
Test Automation: Develop and execute automated test suites for UI, APIs, databases, and message queues.
Test Execution: Perform functional, integration, regression, API, and end-to-end (E2E) testing across application modules.
CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test execution seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines.
Performance Testing: Execute performance and load testing to ensure application stability and reliability.
Defect Resolution: Identify root causes of defects and collaborate closely with developers to drive timely resolutions.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work alongside Engineering, QA, and DevOps teams to continuously improve product quality and engineering processes.
Best Practices: Promote quality engineering practices, automation best practices, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).

Requirements

Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in software testing and test automation.
Programming: Strong programming skills in Java.
Automation: Practical experience with UI automation tools and frameworks.
API Testing: Proven experience with API testing using Postman and Rest Assured.
Testing Frameworks: Hands-on experience with JUnit or TestNG.
Core Concepts: Solid understanding of REST APIs, HTTP protocols, and JSON formats.
CI/CD Tools: Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
Problem Solving: Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

Frontend Knowledge: Basic or good understanding of React.
DevOps & Containers: Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes environments.
Performance Tools: Knowledge of JMeter or Gatling for load and performance testing.
Security & Compliance: Familiarity with security testing tools and compliance practices.
