About the job
Asgard Aerospace is building the execution layer for aerospace manufacturing.
Today, production across the aerospace and defense industry is fragmented across thousands of independent facilities, with no unified system governing how work moves, how compliance is preserved, or how capacity is coordinated.
We are building that system.
Launchbelt coordinates how parts are routed, quoted, produced, and tracked across distributed suppliers, enforcing traceability, compliance, and production logic at every step. This defines how hardware moves from design to certified output.
We are assembling the engineering team responsible for building it.
*Role Focus: Operational Interfaces and System Usability
Role Summary
*
As a Frontend Systems Engineer, you will own the user-facing layer of the Launchbelt platform.
You will build the interfaces that operators, suppliers, and customers use to interact with real production workflows. This includes dashboards, data tables, submission flows, and system visibility across multiple facilities.
This is not a design-only role. You are responsible for translating complex backend systems into clear, reliable, and usable interfaces that support real operational decision-making.
What You Will Own
Build frontend applications for customer, supplier, and internal operations portals
Develop complex data tables, dashboards, and workflow-driven interfaces
Implement role-based views across different user types and permissions
Design and manage application state across multiple workflows and system states
Build form systems for part submission, quoting, and production updates
Ensure all user states are handled correctly (loading, empty, error, success)
Translate backend data structures into intuitive and usable frontend systems
Maintain consistency, performance, and reliability across the frontend codebase
What We Are Building
Launchbelt is a production orchestration system.
It operates at the level of execution, not visibility.
The system:
Breaks assemblies into manufacturable components
Routes work across distributed suppliers
Manages quote submission and selection
Tracks production across multiple independent facilities
Preserves compliance and traceability across every step
The frontend is how this system becomes usable.
It is where workflows are executed, decisions are made, and production is monitored.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of frontend development experience (React preferred)
- Strong experience building complex, data-driven interfaces
- Experience working with REST APIs and integrating backend systems
- Strong understanding of state management and application architecture
- Experience building dashboards, tables, and workflow-driven UIs
- Strong CSS and layout fundamentals
- Ability to translate complex systems into clear user experiences
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with state management libraries (Zustand, Redux, or similar)
- Experience building role-based interfaces and permission systems
- Experience with form handling and validation (React Hook Form or similar)
- Exposure to operational software, logistics platforms, or B2B systems
- Experience working in early-stage or high-ownership environments
- TypeScript experience
Work Model
Hybrid role based in Austin, Texas
In-office collaboration with focused remote work
Direct interaction with platform engineering and operations
Compensation
Compensation includes a combination of salary and equity aligned with early-stage, high-ownership engineering roles.
Final structure will be discussed with candidates based on experience, scope, and timing relative to hiring phase.
