About TRNSACT
TRNSACT is a cutting-edge B2B SaaS platform modernizing how commercial equipment is bought, financed, and protected. Our DealerOS platform helps equipment dealers, lenders, and OEMs streamline credit applications, financing workflows, aftermarket product sales, and compliance — creating a faster and more efficient experience for both customers and internal teams.
We’ve already processed billions in volume and partnered with some of the biggest names in commercial equipment finance. Now, we’re expanding our sales team and hiring Business Development Representatives to help drive the next stage of growth.
The Role
As a Business Development Representative at TRNSACT, you will be responsible for generating qualified sales opportunities by engaging equipment dealers, lenders, OEMs, and other commercial equipment businesses through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn, text, and follow-up campaigns.
This is not a generic SaaS sales role. Our customers are often practical, relationship-driven, and rooted in industries like commercial trucking, construction equipment, agriculture, dealerships, and equipment finance. We are looking for someone who can build trust with blue-collar and dealer-focused customers, communicate clearly, and stay organized through a high-volume sales process.
This is a strong opportunity for someone early in their sales career who wants to grow quickly. Our goal is to develop top-performing BDRs into Account Executives within 3–6 months based on performance.
Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and contact potential equipment dealer, lender, and OEM customers through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other communication channels.
- Create a high volume of qualified sales opportunities through consistent outbound prospecting.
- Manage inbound leads and qualify prospects from first contact through handoff to the sales team.
- Clearly communicate TRNSACT’s value proposition to dealers, finance managers, executives, and other buyers.
- Schedule qualified meetings and partnership opportunities for Account Executives and Business Development Managers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective customers.
- Track calls, emails, follow-ups, pipeline activity, and prospect notes in HubSpot, Apollo, and other sales tools.
- Nurture prospects over time to create a steady flow of future opportunities.
- Partner with marketing and sales leadership to improve messaging, campaigns, and outreach strategy.
- Provide feedback to the sales and product teams on customer needs, objections, and market trends.
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly activity goals, meeting goals, and sales KPIs.
- Represent TRNSACT professionally with customers who value trust, follow-through, and industry understanding.
Requirements
- 1–2+ years of sales, business development, inside sales, appointment setting, recruiting, customer service, or phone-based sales experience.
- Experience making outbound calls, managing follow-ups, and scheduling qualified meetings.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly over the phone.
- Comfortable speaking with practical, relationship-driven customers in industries such as commercial equipment, trucking, agriculture, construction, manufacturing, dealerships, or financial services.
- Highly organized with strong time management and follow-up discipline.
- Comfortable using CRM and sales tools to manage activity and pipeline.
- Coachable, competitive, and motivated to grow into a closing sales role.
- Able to work independently in a remote or distributed team environment.
- Growth-oriented mindset with a focus on learning, improving, and hitting goals.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to be resourceful, proactive, and accountable.
Nice to Have
- Prior BDR, SDR, inside sales, or appointment-setting experience.
- Experience selling into dealers, equipment suppliers, lenders, or blue-collar industries.
- Familiarity with HubSpot, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or Salesforce.
- Knowledge of the equipment dealership, commercial truck, construction, agriculture, or equipment finance industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Why TRNSACT
- Compensation: $65k – $80k base + uncapped commissions (OTE $200k+ potential).
- Equity: Founding-level ownership (0.1% – 0.25%).
- Impact: You’ll shape the GTM motion, playbook, and culture of the sales org.
- Team: Work directly with the CEO and leadership team on strategy and execution.
- Growth: Chance to grow into sales leadership as the company scales.
