Infrastructure Engineer

The Information Services team supports all technology services at UTIMCO and requires an individual with experience designing, building and maintaining a variety of enterprise technologies within a hybrid datacenter model. The ideal candidate must be highly curious, open-minded, and can effectively deconstruct technologies in a detailed and proficient manner. Candidate must be willing to perform root cause analysis and propose long-term solutions for the benefit of the client.

Broad Responsibilities Include:

• Assist with developing policies, procedures, and standards for installing, configuring, and supporting secure core infrastructure technologies
• Build relationships across UTIMCO to foster a collegial culture on the Information Services team and across the organization
• Lead vulnerability management remediation efforts
• Subject matter expert for UTIMCO customer facing services: Microsoft 365 controls, network access, EntraID
• Develop and maintain network, system, and firewall security design documentation
• Participate in Business Continuation/Disaster Recovery infrastructure planning, building, and testing
• Assist in the analysis and migration of legacy systems into public and private clouds
• Develop and gather metrics to measure progress and report status to management
• Recommend secure and effective solutions for system/application development in compliance with Information Security policies
• Maintain existing systems for a 24/7, 365 enterprise, including performing maintenance to high standards and document processes for customer success team
• Respond to escalated support calls & provide coverage for desktop incidents
• Perform other related duties and projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
• Ability to configure, and maintain Juniper, Palo Alto & Aruba networking platforms
• Maintain confidence with clients and ensure communication channels are consistently open
• Competence in administering and supporting Microsoft 365 technologies (Including: EntraID SSO, Conditional Access, Intune, Defender)
• 5+ years of experience and knowledge of networking services, routing & switching, protocols & technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, BGP, etc.) and strong network engineering background in a secure environment.
• Understanding of common Internet-centric applications and protocols such as: HTTP, SMTP, SSL, SSH, SNMP, DNS
• Practical knowledge of authentication technologies (SAML, LDAP, Kerberos), encryption concepts, PKI, vulnerability assessment, patch management and role-based access control
• Strong in PowerShell, Python, Bash or other scripting language
• Performance monitoring and management
• Strong communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Network Access Control methodologies
• Cloud computing (Azure or AWS)
• Experience migrating from a hybrid Active Directory environment to EntraID
• Effective project management acumen
• Experience working in a dynamic, team-oriented and collaborative atmosphere
