In this role, you will lead a team dedicated to steering and scaling these efforts across all relevant markets, creating a lasting impact on the global EV ecosystem.
What you'll do
- Develop and Execute Strategy: Design, implement, and scale a global partnership strategy, focused on delivering exceptional experiences for EV drivers.
- Identify and Monetise Opportunities: Evaluate and monetise commercial opportunities across markets, enabling faster EV adoption and positioning Octopus Energy as a key partner in this transition.
- Collaborate with Local Teams: Work closely with regional teams to build value accretive partnerships that accelerate EV adoption.
- Shape the EV Ecosystem: Define and evolve Octopus Energy’s EV ecosystem strategy, leading an exceptional team to deliver on this vision.
- Secure Key Partnerships: Identify and secure new opportunities spanning the entire EV ecosystem, from energy generation to end consumers.
- Engage Key Stakeholders: Partner with manufacturers, regulators, governments, and other industry participants to create market mechanisms that remove barriers to EV adoption.
- Drive Thought Leadership: Position Octopus Energy as a leading voice in the EV transition.
What you'll need
- A strong understanding of the global EV market, including automotive manufacturers, charge point operators, and associated market participants
- High ownership - you take responsibility for your work and drive stuff at pace independently
- Entrepreneurial mindset - you can value and pursue highest-value opportunities with a clear bias for informed action and track record of establishing new businesses
- Delivery focus - you know how to get stuff done and work across a wide range of teams, both internal and external
- Experience digesting and translating technical requirements and policy/technical information for commercial applicability
- Strong and confident communication both written and verbal
- Additional languages a plus
- Passion for shaping the EV transition and ability to get stakeholders behind this mission
