About the Role:
As the CTO, you will be at the forefront of our product’s growth, shaping the technical direction, developing the product roadmap, and ensuring the overall health and scalability of the platform. You’ll be responsible for building and leading our engineering team, making critical architectural decisions, and collaborating with other executives to align technical initiatives with our broader business goals. Responsibilities:

• Define the technical vision and lead the development of our platform.
• Build, lead, and mentor an engineering team that is passionate about making an impact.
• Make key architectural decisions and guide the implementation of scalable, reliable technology.
• Collaborate with the CEO and other stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
• Oversee the design and implementation of our AI-driven tools and data insights, ensuring seamless integration.
• Keep a keen eye on performance metrics, quality, and cost, optimizing infrastructure for growth and user experience.
• Stay on top of emerging technologies and determine their potential to enhance our platform.

Skills & Requirements:

• Proven experience in a senior engineering role, preferably as a CTO or VP of Engineering, ideally at a startup.
• Strong technical expertise in full-stack development, including experience with back-end technologies (Node.js, Python, or equivalent) and front-end frameworks (React, Vue.js, or similar).
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML integration, including consumer behavior analytics and personalization techniques.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and experience in scaling tech products.
• Ability to lead, inspire, and grow a talented engineering team.
• Experience in building marketplace platforms or similar consumer-oriented tech products is a huge plus.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and vice versa.
• Passion for supporting small businesses and creating a thriving community-driven marketplace.
