Key Responsibilities
Design and Develop Data Pipelines Create and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and PySpark to process and analyse large datasets.
Data Storage and Management Implement and manage data storage solutions using Delta Lake and PostgreSQL.
Data Validation Ensure data quality and integrity using Great Expectations for data validation.
Dashboarding Develop interactive dashboards and data visualisations using Dash to support business decision-making.
Collaboration Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
Optimisation Optimise data workflows for performance and scalability.
Documentation Maintain comprehensive documentation of data engineering processes and systems.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
• Proficiency in Python and PySpark.
• Experience with Delta Lake for data storage.
• Strong knowledge of data validation techniques using Great Expectations.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL for database management.
• Experience with Dash for creating interactive dashboards.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Knowledge of MLOps practices.
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud services.
• Experience with geospatial data.
