About the Internship:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented intern to join our growing data engineering team. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines using Python and AWS services. You will work alongside experienced engineers, contribute to real-world projects, and have the chance to make a lasting impact on our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using Python and libraries like Pandas, Spark, or Airflow. Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources including databases, APIs, and flat files.
- Design and implement data quality checks and ensure data integrity throughout the pipeline. Configure and utilize AWS services for data storage, processing, and orchestration (e.g., S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda).
- Collaborate with engineers, data analysts, and product managers to understand data needs and design optimal solutions.
- Write unit tests and document code effectively.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data engineering and related technologies.
Qualifications:
- Worked in the data engineering space for 0-2+ years
- Education: BE/BTech or equivalent (in lieu of academics, equivalent software developer experience required)
- Having interesting in the Trading, Investing and Fund Management space
- Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in data manipulation libraries like Pandas.
- Basic understanding of data engineering concepts like ETL, data quality, and data warehousing.
- Familiarity with cloud computing principles, preferably AWS.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in computer science, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Bonus Points:
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience with any of the mentioned AWS services (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda).
- Open-source contributions or personal projects demonstrating your technical skills.
