Dognosis (dognosis.tech) is decoding canine cognition to reveal the hidden world of scent.

Our vision is a world where we have cracked the olfactory code of disease, making detecting disease as easy as breathing.

Our mission is to save lives by detecting disease early. We want to advance humanity towards truly proactive and preventative medicine.

We are working at the bleeding edge of deep-tech - interspecies brain-computer interfaces (BCIs), cognitive neuroscience, olfactory science, machine learning - to forge a human-canine partnership that will blaze a revolution in the way we practice medicine.

Our current team is led by Akash Kulgod and Itamar Bitan and our HQ is in Malleshwaram, Bangalore. We are backed by deep-tech investors Boost VC and 1517 Fund.

Over the next 5 years we are focused on working with medical detection dogs and AI to develop a breath-based cancer-screening test. Our product is simple - people breathe into a mask for 10 minutes, ship it to our lab, and our dogs identify breath that has cancer-marker volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

We are currently a team of 20 people and 9 dogs with backgrounds in clinical research, canine behaviour, cognitive science, computational neuroscience, mechanical engineering, embedded systems, biosensing, computer vision, full-stack software development, olfaction, sniffing out cancer and more.
