About the job

About the Role:
As a Head of Sales you will lead the development and execution of sales strategies to drive revenue growth across utilities and utility service providers. This role requires building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, identifying market opportunities, and tailoring innovative solutions to meet customer needs. The ideal candidate will analyze market trends, build and lead a high-performing sales team, and ensure alignment with the company's objectives while achieving sales targets and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies for the Utilities sector in the APAC region, aligned with the organization’s long-term goals and objectives.
  • Lead the creation of a comprehensive business plan and roadmap to drive sales growth and achieve revenue targets while taking ownership of P&L for the region.
  • Provide strategic guidance and recommendations based on market insights, industry trends, and business initiatives.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying market opportunities, emerging trends, and leveraging them to capitalize on business potential.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, to deliver tailored and impactful solutions.
  • Lead the go-to-market strategy, including execution plans for targeted customer segments while creating a sales engine from scratch.
  • Identify and grow partnerships in different geographies and represent the company in different events.
  • Collaborate with product and marketing teams to provide feedback on market demands, informing product innovation and development.
  • Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure all sales activities and contracts adhere to regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s Degree is preferred.
  • 8-10 years of experience in sales leadership roles, with a strong focus on the Utilities Sector.
  • Experience in setting up sales processes and teams across different geographies, if needed.
  • Deep understanding of the regulatory environment, market dynamics, and key stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with an ability to inspire and drive performance.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate market insights into actionable sales strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Results-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel across the APAC region.
  • Strong networks in utilities and the public sector are preferred.
