As a core member of our People & Culture department, you will take responsibility for the collaborative development and execution of a global events strategy, and leverage our internal communication channels to promote initiatives which create a sense of belonging and community, ensuring our Employer Brand shines through. You will help to create a vibrant hybrid environment in our US sites, ensuring our offices remain welcoming, world-class and well-stocked. Your new adventure:
- Develop and implement event and communication strategies to improve employee engagement across multiple sites, platforms and channels with minimal guidance
- Partner and collaborate with Director Internal Comms, PR & Social, Employer Branding, DEBI and other key stakeholders on the development and execution of a comprehensive global events strategy
- Be the ‘voice’ of your site(s), leveraging our core comms channels to engage employees, including managing local digital signage, becoming a trained content creator for our intranet, and sitting on your local Site Leadership Team
- Create and maintain community management strategies to foster connections among employees, both locally and globally
- Develop programs that connect employees with customers and their stories to encourage a customer-first mindset and, where relevant, create experiences for our customers which strengthen our relationship with them
- Create comprehensive playbooks and guidelines for team-building events and activations, ensuring a consistent and global approach
- Responsible for ensuring our offices remain welcoming, world-class and well-stocked
- Completion of all tasks associated with the employee lifecycle, inclusive of managing queries through the HR ticketing system; issuing required documentation; updates to our HRIS platform; onboarding and offboarding; employee HR Inductions; and promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Management of business travel for employees including flight and hotel arrangements and assistance with business visas where required, ensuring cost efficiency and policy adherence; conducting travel orders and invoices for reimbursement; maintaining travel and accommodation-related contracts and agreements; and data collection of ESG information
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HR databases and appropriate drives; ensure the confidentiality and security of employee information; handle employee data changes, terminations, and archiving of files as needed; and ensure compliance with record management, security, sensitivity and data protection law
- Administer employee benefits programs ensuring appropriate onboarding and offboarding, and act as a point of contact for employees regarding benefits questions
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies; assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures; prepare and submit required reports to local government agencies
Does this sound like you:
- 5+ years of experience from a similar role in HR and/or communications
- Great experience in events management, with excellent communication skills
- Good grasp of effective communication strategies and channels
- Ability to liaise and negotiate with suppliers, ideally with a ‘little black book’ of local/global contacts and/or vendors
- Ability to advise and influence others
- Understanding of drivers of employee engagement
- Attention to detail and ability to work at speed
- Experience in budget management, specifically in relation to event costs
- Experience working in a scale-up environment is a plus
- ‘One team’ spirit is a must!
