Summary / Position Purpose:
The Salesforce Developer/Administrator will use company IT methodologies and Salesforce best practices to analyze business processes, understand business problems, document and then design, develop and maintain efficient solutions to complex business needs spanning multiple technology platforms and integrations across multiple functional areas (i.e., Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, Operations, Accounting, etc.).
Essential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities:
• Data Load and Management
• Reporting
• Click-vs-Code Development
• Security Management
• Migrations, Backup/Restore, Duplicate Management
• Maintain System Health and perform Health Checks and Support Systems Integrations
• Provide production support and participate in all sizes of projects and development tasks
• Help set standards and usage of the salesforce technologies and developer tools to build salesforce standard feature extensions and new native applications
• Achieve quality and efficiency by helping to establish and follow proper technical design, coding practices, testing and migration planning
• Support and coordinate user acceptance testing, timely resolution of issues, regular status reports, and ongoing communication
• Provide work direction and system and technical specifications to Salesforce contract developers as needed
*Day-To-Day Support *
• Develop and maintain systems documentation, business process models, object models, data models, and perform knowledge transfers to IT staff.
• Meet production support service levels as IT provides customer support and perform system maintenance using a ticketing system.
• Lead or participate on project roll outs and/or support that will require work in the evenings and weekends that would be in addition to Monday to Friday work hours
• Develop and Maintain declarative and coded solutions, including Visual Force pages, Apex classes & triggers, Lightning Pages and Components, and integrations with third party systems
• Manage/Develop workflows, email templates, views, reports, dashboards, folders, libraries, scheduled jobs including data.com jobs.
• Develop and support technical integration points between Salesforce and Great Plains and other systems through standard integration tools or custom development.
• Maintain user roles and profiles, security settings, access settings etc. (User Profiles, Role Hierarchy, Sharing Rules and Security)
• Successfully participate and perform in all SDLC activities for Salesforce or other development activities and create and maintain supporting technical documentation and detailed design specifications
• Perform Data Loading and Cleansing
• Manage and troubleshoot migrations through environments using eclipse or other standard tool set and teach others how to develop projects/packages.
• Manage Environment Refreshes for Production Support and Project Activities
• Create and maintain documentation: policies, procedures, workflows, and user guides, etc.
Project Work:
• Provide primary support for project work related to new technologies
• Learn modules and technologies quickly in the support of those areas in ‘Preferred’ Skills
• Manage Salesforce Releases and recommendations for implementing new features and addressing Critical Updates
• Develop a roadmap for system improvements and ways for the user communities to take advantage of better ways to use the system.
• Work closely with other departments in the implementation of process improvements
• Participate on all projects for extending and improving Salesforce and related technologies.
• Backup GP Administrator and Salesforce Administrator when they are out of the office.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
** Required:**
• 3+ years demonstrated technical proficiency in SF Development for the Sales and Service Cloud
• 3+ Years supporting custom development (platform) and System Administration
• 4+ Years Salesforce Administration support
• 4+ Years working with Jquery, HTML 5 and style sheet
• Knowledge of Salesforce Best Practices for Migrations, Org Management, Coding Practices
• Knowledge of SDLC and Support (Incident, Service Requests, Change, Release)
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills as well as organization and teamwork skills
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills
• Demonstrable experience in Requirements Gathering and Solution Design.
• Provide production support or system rollouts on nights and weekends
Preferred:
• 1+ Years developing Salesforce Mobile and/or Lightning technologies
• 1+ Years providing support for Pardot
• 1+ Years working with Salesforce and CTI technologies
• 1+ Years working with Salesforce B2B (Cloudcraze)
• 1+ Years working with Salesforce Social Studio Integrations (Radian6)
• 1+ Years providing UI/UX design
• Excellent understanding of JSON, SOAP, REST methodologies for web services
• Personal goals to move toward solution architect role.
Education:
• Technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is acceptable
• SF Administration Certification and SF Developer Certification
• Working on additional relevant certifications (preferred)
• Working advanced Salesforce Certification (preferred)
