Python - AI & Full stack (Core Engineer)

Roles & Responsibilities:

We are seeking a talented Backend Engineer with 1-3 years of experience in Python, specialising in AI and full-stack development, to join our innovative team. The Backend Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend solutions that power our AI-driven applications and full-stack platforms. This role requires expertise in Python programming, AI algorithms, database management, and a strong foundation in software engineering principles.

Backend Development:

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services and APIs using Python.
• Implement AI algorithms and integrate machine learning models into backend systems.
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and security of backend applications.

Database Management:

• Design and optimise database schemas, queries, and data pipelines.
• Implement data storage solutions using relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

AI Integration and Optimization:

• Collaborate with data scientists and AI engineers to integrate machine learning models and algorithms into backend services.
• Optimise AI algorithms for performance, scalability, and real-time processing.

Full Stack Development:

• Work closely with frontend developers to integrate backend services with user interfaces.
• Implement full-stack features and functionalities, ensuring seamless user experiences.

Code Quality and Maintenance:

• Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
• Conduct code reviews, analyse code for areas of improvement, and provide constructive feedback.
• Implement best practices for version control using Git and CI/CD pipelines.

Documentation and Communication:

• Document technical specifications, API references, and system architecture.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, frontend developers, and Founders, Co-founders & Clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-5 years of experience in backend development using Python, with a focus on AI and full-stack solutions.
• Proficiency in Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and integrating AI models into production systems.
• Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL), schema design, and optimization.
• Knowledge of cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
