Job Description
The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Technical Project Manager will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals, coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
Team Coordination: Lead and motivate project team members on a proactive basis, ensuring resource availability and allocation.
Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
Scope and Change Management: Define and manage project scope, changes, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Stakeholder Communication: Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.
Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial resources are allocated effectively and project costs are controlled.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, and meet quality standards.
Technical Guidance: Provide technical direction and guidance to the project team, ensuring that technical solutions are viable and meet project requirements.
Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-project analysis.
Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in project processes and implement best practices to enhance project delivery and performance.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Experience: 4-5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on technical projects.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field. PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are highly desirable.
Technical Proficiency: Strong technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development, IT infrastructure, or other relevant technical areas.
Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership, motivational, and team-building skills.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically.
Agile and Scrum: Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure.
Stakeholder Management: Ability to effectively manage relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
