Engineering Manager

Shortlisting criterion: You should be an awesome Backend Engineer, have at least 2 years of experience in leading a team of 3 or more Software Engineers as a Tech Lead/Engineering Manager. You should have build at least 1 solid product. You should be a hands-on Techie yourself who is keen to innovate and solve real world problems at scale.

What we are not looking for
We are not looking for a Project Manager, someone who is week in backend, someone who's looking for a comfort zone.

Expectations from the Role
5+ years of experience in developing products, especially with a strong Backend Engineering experience.
At least 2 years of experience in leading a team of 3+ software engineers.
Should have a good understanding of Front end and should be able to guide the front end team
In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of application and front-end / Back-end engineers to drive innovation in full-stack product development, while relentlessly improving performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Ability to work independently and proactively learn about the system (Quick Learner)
Takes pride in their work, committed to meeting deadlines and producing high-quality code
Technically Hands-on, prior experience with scalable Architecture
Coaching, mentoring of the team. Strong problem solving skills
Experience working with Product Managers and UX Professionals
Hands on with web technologies, MySQL, NoSql, redis, Python, Linux, AWS / GCP etc.
Understand and write performant, testable and maintainable code
Experience of Test-Driven Development
Experience with high performance websites catering to millions of daily traffic is a plus with an ability to bring in software engineering life cycle best practices

Each talent is onboarded through the OTT (Onboarding Top Talent) funnel, which has 5 steps:
1st Round: Technical Discussion - Online or in person
2nd Round : Tech exercise followed by a discussion- in person (at parentune Office Gurgaon)
3rd Round : Tech & Non Tech mixed discussion- in person or online
4th Round :Tech & Non Tech mixed discussion- in person or online
5th Round : in person (at parentune Office Gurgaon)

Some of these in-person rounds are coupled and done on the same day/visit.
We finish our process within 7-10 working days.

Note: We work alternate Saturday half days.
1st, 3rd Saturday half day working, 2nd and 4th Saturdays are off.
