I led the Early Childhood Development & Education domain for four years. Through those experiences, I observed that parents struggled to receive prompt and trustworthy advice for their queries about their child’s health, nutrition, development, behavior, well-being, and many more important areas. I realized that while a preschool or a school is important in the development of the child, a parent’s role is equally or more important for a child’s development. I undertook research going house to house and meeting more than 2000 parents in small groups striving to understand their challenges. The more I understood the gap through this research, the more it compelled me to bridge it. I started Parentune with the belief that each parent can do better with the support of a like-minded parents’ network, and that we can improve the quality of child development when the parent is empowered with prompt and trusted advice. We believe that no parent wants to go by hearsay and that each parent has the right to understand aspects important for their child in detail, to weigh them and then decide what is best for their child and family. We believe that each parent aspires to do what is best for their child and our purpose in this Universe is to make this possible for each parent. We are guided by the parent-first code and we believe in empowering parents with prompt and trusted advice. It’s our belief that relevant, personalised and timely support can empower each parent to do what is right for their child. The big difference at Parentune is that we focus on the learning journey of individuals. Learning is a key aspect of each huddle, each day at Parentune. Sharing one’s own approach to cracking a challenging task presenting why something may be stuck, to doing each iteration is a virtuous and shared cycle at Parentune.
