Senior QA Engineer

As a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer at our startup, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products to our customers. In addition to technical expertise, you will need excellent communication and leadership skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage people effectively.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans, and test cases for our backend, frontend, and Android applications.
Conduct thorough testing and identify bugs, defects, and performance issues in our software products.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand user needs and project requirements.
Prioritize and manage multiple testing tasks efficiently, while ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of software releases.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for any reported bugs and work towards avoiding similar issues in future releases.
Provide leadership and guidance to junior QA team members, mentor them, and assist in their professional development.
Continuously explore and implement industry best practices, tools, and techniques to improve the overall QA process.
Collaborate closely with the development team to enhance the software development lifecycle and promote a quality-first mindset.
Document and communicate test results, progress, and any potential risks or issues to stakeholders.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
3 - 4 years of experience in QA/testing roles, preferably in a software development environment.
Strong proficiency in testing backend, frontend, and Android applications.
In-depth knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
Proven experience in designing and writing test cases that cover functional, integration, and regression testing.
Ability to understand user needs, prioritize tasks, and manage resources effectively.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
Solid understanding of software development processes and the ability to work closely with developers to ensure high-quality releases.
Experience with bug-tracking systems and test management tools.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
Knowledge of performance testing and security testing methodologies.
